2009 Spring Trip Information

This April 2009, the CHS Band is headed to the beach! We will be traveling to Corpus Christi, TX from April 16-19 to participate in the Southcoast Music Festival.

Important Trip Info:

  • Destination: Corpus Christi, TX
  • Dates: Thurs, April 16 - Sun, April 19
  • Trip Cost: $300.00**

Note: The total trip cost is $450.00. The booster club will be covering $150.00 of each student's trip payment.

Trip Payment Schedule:

  • Payment #1: 11/17 - $100.00
  • Payment #2: 12/15 - $50.00
  • Payment #3: 1/15 - $50.00
  • Payment #4: 2/16 - $50.00
  • Final Payment: 3/13 - $50.00

Payments may be made via the black box in the band hall (please make sure to clearly mark the envelope with "Trip Payment" and the student's name/ID) or via the band website under the "Payment" menu above.

Important Dates:

  • 11/17/2008: Trip payment #1. This payment officially puts your name on the trip list and reserves a spot for you on the trip.
  • 2/27/2009: End of the 4th six weeks. A student with a failing grade on their 4th six weeks report card will be academically ineligible to attend the trip.
  • 3/10/2009: Last day to request a full trip refund. After this date, refunds cannot be guaranteed, but will be issued on a partial basis, if possible. Refund requests must be made, in writing (preferably via email), to Mr. Linley.
  • 3/27/2009: 5th Six Weeks Progress Report. A student who failed the 4th six weeks can regain his/her eligibility if all grades are passing at this point.
  • 3/31/2009: Mandatory Spring Trip Meeting for all students (and their parents) attending the trip. The meeting will be held in the CHS Band Hall.
  • 4/16/2009: Spring Trip!
