March-a-thon Information
The CHS Band March-a-thon is this Saturday, August 16th. The following is some
very important information regarding the day's events. Students should arrive at
the Band Hall at 9:00am, dressed in the casual uniform (see below), with their instrument
and wearing sunscreen. Students should have eaten a good breakfast and already have
been drinking water. It is a good idea for each band member to be drinking water
regularly starting on Friday evening in order to build up a good level of hydration.
The March-a-thon will begin at CHS at 9:30am. We will march through the Wester
attendance zone first, leading us to Curtisinger Elementary where lunch will be
provided for the band members. From Curtsinger, we will depart by bus to the Clark
attendance zone. We will march through the Clark attendance zone, taking a break
at Lebabon Baptist Church before ending at Tom Thumb (corner of Preston and Lebanon)
where we will put on a short performance. The students will be receiving very regular
water and shade breaks throughout the day.
We would love for the CHS Band Parents, friends and family to come out and
support our March-a-thon! Take a look at the parade route below and find a
good place to "camp out"! The City has asked that we do not
have cars and vehicles following the band other than those expressly associated
with the parade (medical SUV, flat bed trailer, etc).
