The success of our organization is fueled by many things; parent and student volunteer support is arguably the most important of these. An organization which operates on the scale of the Titan Band Boosters requires much assistance and financial support. The money raised by the Titan Band Boosters goes directly to the students and fuels the opportunities and successes of the band. The following represent just a few of the ways that the Titan Band Boosters aid in the success of the program:
Supply Needs |
Visual Consulting |
Band Banquet |
The Titan Band Booster association aides greatly in the purchasing of supplies from musical instruments, to equipment, to software, etc. |
As our program continues to grow more competitive, the visual element of our marching show will become increasingly more important. Booster funding goes to assist in keeping the amazing guard staff we currently enjoy, in addition to hiring of visual consultants to assist in the creation, production, and excecution of the visual element of our show. The boosters also assist in the funding of visual elements such as props, backdrops, visuals, costuming, etc. | At the end of each year, the Band Boosters produce the Band Banquet. This is a formal, catered event of the highest quality at which the boosters and directors honor the band students and parents. In order to keep ticket prices to the Band Banquet within reason, the boosters bear much of the financial responsibility of this event. |
Private Lesson Scholarships |
Band Trips |
Clinicians |
| The booster club provides private lessons scholarships to students who the directors feel will strongly benefit from private lessons, but may require financial assistance. | When the Titan Band travels, it is EXPENSIVE! The current district policy states that student trips may cost no more than $300 (or $600 every four years). Booster funding is directly applied to the cost of any band trip in order to bring down the overall cost of the student. The Titan Band is becoming poised to compete on a national scale and booster funding will be absolutely necessary in order to make this a reality. | Each year, the Band Boosters help to bring in some of the finest clinicians in the area, state, and country to come and work directly with our kids. |
Rather than having 20 bake sales, 30 car washes, and 25 garage sales in order to raise the funds necessary to sustain a high caliber band program, the Band Booster Association participates in several larger fundraising events throughout the year. This helps to lessen the strain of fundraising by making each volunteer hour worth more money. There are three main facets to the booster's fundraising campaign.
Centennial Marching Festival |
Pizza Hut Park |
Sales |
| This is the largest fundraising event of the year. The CHS Band will host and produce an annual Marching Contest at Memorial Stadium. Massive volunteer help in advertising/PR, concessions, and contest operations will be required. This event is designed to grow into the corner stone of our fundraising efforts, eventually lessening the need for other events throughout the year. | Through an outstanding partnership with the Pizza Hut Park management, the Titan Band Booster Association has secured rights to participate in concessions at several PHP events. Parents and students are needed to volunteer by working in the concession booths. The more volunteers we have, the more booths we occupy, the more money the booster club raises. The Pizza Hut Park concessions arena is a competitive one however, and if we cannot supply enough volunteers, we will ultimately lose this fantastic opportunity. | Examples of sales based fundraisers are the spaghetti dinner, sweet shoppe, and coke sales. In order to minimize the strain on band families and residents, the booster club is attempting to move away from this category of fundraising. This effort however, is largely based on the success of the events listed above. |
It is the responsibility of each and every member of the band family to participate in one of these volunteer efforts. We are all responsible for the success of our kids!
