Part Assignments and Parts to Mvt. 1 & 2 of the 2008 Marching Show are now available for download on the Music Page. Make sure to download the Part Assignments in order to make sure you are downloading the correct part.

Incoming Freshman Instrument Checkout School Owned Instruments (both concert and marching) will be distributed to all incoming Freshmen on Thursday, June 19th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. If you are unable to make it that evening in order to pick up your instrument, please contact Mr. Linley via email as soon as possible in order to schedule an alternate pick up time.

Summer Schedule Information We wish all of the Centennial Band members a well deserved and relaxing summer break! Remember to keep checking the Online calendar for summer events such as registration and band camp. Percussion rehearsals will be on going throughout the summer - check the Percussion Calendar for more details.

PHP Volunteering - July 4th We are in need of summer volunteers for several big PHP events. Our next event is an FC Dallas game on July 4th at 4:00pm. You can sign up on the Online Volunteer Page or by emailing our Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Rau. Thanks to all who volunteer their time for the band!

Titans Bring Home the Gold at UIL TSSEC Congratulations to the CHS Band Members who travelled to Austin to participate in the 2008 UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest on Monday, May 26th. Special congratulations goes to Jessica vanGelder, Michael Nootbaar, Blayze Campbell, Emily Earnshaw, Brittany Kagawa, and Brittany Doherty for earning Gold Medals in either the Solo and/or Ensemble categories.

Centennial Band Sweeps Washington DC! The Centennial Band traveled to Washington from May 7-11 in order to compete in the 2008 Capitol Music Festival. The Band had a fantastic time experiencing the sights and history of Washington DC. The trip was a huge success with all three concert bands having outstanding performances. Centennial swept the contest, winning Festival Grand Champion with the Wind Ensemble and Best in Class with the Symphonic Band. The Concert Band also placed first amongst all the Sub Non Varsity groups. This marks the first time in the history of the program for the Centennial Band to compete on a national level. Congratulations to the Centennial Band members on their outstanding performances in Washington; thank you for representing Centennial High School on a national level with such pride and honor!
