Tim Linley, Director of Bands

Mr. Linley has served the Centennial Band and Frisco ISD since Centennial High School's opening in 2003, first as Associate Director and currently as Director of Bands. As Director of Bands for the Centennial High School Cluster, Mr. Linley conducts the Centennial High School Wind Ensemble and directs the Centennial Marching Band in addition to collaborating at Clark and Wester Middle Schools. Mr. Linley received his academic training at Baylor University in Waco, TX, receiving his Bachelors degree in Music Education. He is an avid student of conducting, having studied both domestically and abroad as a student of Michael Haithcock (University of Michigan), Timothy Reynish (Royal Northern Conservatory - UK), Kevin Sedatole (Baylor University/Michigan State University), and Jeffrey Grogan (New Jersey Symphony Orchestra). Mr. Linley's bands consistently earn superior ratings at Univeristy Interscholastic League Marching, Concert and Sight-reading contests. Under his direction in 2007, the CHS Wind Ensemble earned 2nd Place "Runner Up" at the Texas State Honor Band Contest. Likewise, the 2007 Centennial Marching Band was awarded 17th place at the UIL Texas State Marching Contest. His professional affiliations include: the Texas Music Educators Assocation, Texas Band Masters Association, North American Saxophone Alliance, World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He resides in Frisco with his wife, Kristen.

Kelly Wykoff, Associate Director of Bands

Ms. Kelly Wykoff is in her first year as an Associate Director at Centennial High School. Originally from San Antonio, Ms. Wykoff graduated with a Bachelors degree in Music Education with a concentration in trumpet from Texas Tech University. During her time at Texas Tech, she performed with the Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Goin' Band from Raiderland, and Court Jesters basketball band. She also worked in the Lubbock area teaching private lessons, masterclasses, and working as a marching tech in the fall. In the summer of 2007, she performed with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. Prior to being at Centennial, she student taught with Bill Centera at Newman Smith High School in Carrollton, TX. As Associate Director, Ms. Wykoff instructs the Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble, as well as assists with the Marching Band.

Ronnie LaCour, Associate Director of Bands

Mr. LaCour is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Texas, having completed his Bachelors degree in Music Education. While at UNT, he studied percussion with Mark Ford, Christopher Deane and Paul Rennick. He performed with several ensembles including the North Texas Wind Symphony, the Gamelan Orchestra, the Steel Bands, and the Contemporary Percussion Ensemble. He also studied percussion arranging with Paul Rennick and wind arranging with Dennis Fisher. After having several of this percussion arrangements performed by his fellow UNT students, he performed one of his own marimba compositions for the percussion department which was well received by the students and faculty alike. In the summer of 2007, Mr. LaCour participated in the North Texas Conductors Collegium hosted by Eugene Migliaro Corporon, Jack Stamp and Dennis Fisher. He became the third undergraduate to take part in this activity. As Associate Director of Bands, Mr. LaCour's duties include conducting the Concert Band, coordinating and conducting the Centennial Percussion Group, and assisting with the Marching Band and the Wind Ensemble.

Brian Greenleaf, Director of Color/Winterguard

Mr. Greenleaf has been active in Marching Band, Winter Guard, and Drum and Bugle Corps as a designer, technician, clinician and consultant since 1989. He joined the staff at Centennial High school in July 2005. He was previously the Color Guard director at Haltom High School and Union Public Schools in Tulsa , Oklahoma.

In addition to public school teaching, Mr. Greenleaf has instructed the Suncoast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps, the Black Gold Drum and Bugle Corps, and has served as the caption head for the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps.
